Storyboard with Sound

I uploaded my PowerPoint by the deadline but then Annie was kind enough to point out that I missed the memo that we needed it to be video--meaning add sound! So, now you have to endure my voice. Sorry everyone that you have to listen but thanks Annie for cluing me in. I deleted the lowly PowerPoint. But I have to say that I think the idea of using a PowerPoint to storyboard is brilliant!!!

  1. Storyboard, Phase 1, is good! There may be a bit too many stories you are trying to squeeze in. It was clear in the beginning, the change you mentioned to the story. Recommend reviewing and making decisions on the story flow, on what to keep and how to fit into the storyline flow.

  2. I think that given the time constraint we are working under (about ten minutes, I thought), I agree with Mark about cutting it down. On the other hand, it could all work if you did parts of it more like the Silent Beats piece we watched a few weeks back-perhaps for the tension of arriving in America and seeing Pearl Harbor in that state, and again maybe for the reunion of with the parents in 1945?

Additionally, I don't know how to do it, but it might work to do something like a split screen, where you show Leonard's journey, and at the same time, raise the tension in your story by showing clips of what was happening to his family at the same time, even if they were just stills that represent what they were going through.

  3. Letty,

You provide a lot of information for your story! You are really good at coming up with your weekly videos and I think you will end up with an excellent product for the final DST. I enjoy watching your work.
