Draft Two of final 286 video assignment

Once again, "blogger" will not cooperate by finding my you tube video. The link above will take you to it on you tube. I hope someday I will learn about why it works sometimes and not others.

Anyway, only watch the first four minutes or so. Since all of my audio of Leonard telling his own story is poor, I am trying to use newsreel footage to tell some of it. My question now is--do I replcae the captions with--ICK--my own voice narrating--ICK--?
ICK.
If anyone actually watches this, that is the inquiry question to ponder.

  1. Hey Letty,
In looking at your storyboard with sound and your silent draft 2, I noticed more detail provided about the story of going home in what you said. I was a little choked up at the part imagining how Leonard and his parents must have felt after 4 years and internement. Your voice doesn't sound ICK to me. I wonder also found myself just waiting to hear Leonard in draft 2. I wonder if you might be able to use part of the audio and video of Leonard talking and perhaps include a transcript of what he is saying? Just in spots? I don't think you should avoid narrating thinking that your audience won't like your voice. I like it just fine.

  2. Hi Letty,
I'm with Deb: "I wonder if you might be able to use part of the audio and video of Leonard talking and perhaps include a transcript of what he is saying? Just in spots?" I really wanted to hear Leonard, even if it is poor audio - that doesn't make a "bumP" to me, if it's authentic. I also wanted to see him - especially "then" and "now" type photos.

How did you do the text? I need to do that, and IMovie doesn't seem to have that option except for title slides that don't work that way.

I think your voice would be fine. Yet, I really don't want my own either!
